A New Addition to Stylist
I have been reading Stylist magazine since I moved to London in September. The weekly publication comes out every Thursday morning, and you can pick it up at your tube station. The editor in chief is Susan Riley, and my favourite writer (whom is only a contributing editor) is Lucy Mangam. She is a real inspiration for my writing as she is knowledgeable and hilarious!
This week Stylist magazine has launched their online sister 'magazine'- Emerald Street. This website can be tailored to your specific interests, including fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel, television ect ect. You can set your location so Emerald Street can update you on events in your area. So as I live in London, Emerald Street sends me weekly email updates, and provides info on daily events in London and the surrounding area.
So sign up, and tailor the magazine to what you want to read!

OOTD: Clash Your Prints

Morning all! It is 8.08am, and I am already up and about and blogging! So super proud of myself, an excellent start to the Easter month of -hopefully- working a full time job. I heading to the gym right now for a morning class then swimming, Then I am meeting my best friend Kati for coffee (well chaaaiii) then we are going to see her new room at her mum's house. Then I am heading back into town to see my boyfriends mum, and also my new boss! I know this outfit doesn't look very professional for a job meeting, but I have met my new boss several times, and this is more of a casual meeting.
I was inspired by Prada today, focussing on their clashing prints for this season. I have kept the palette even by sticking to blue, white and grey tones, and contrasting it with gold jewelry. This look is topped off with ballet pumps and my Calvin Klein bag to keep the accessories neutral, and therefore not detract from the outfit.
As a final note, do not forget to check me out on Youtube! I was approached by a fellow youtuber Lost in Fashion and was invited to take part in their new fashion contest. Despite the prizes being in $, I am still going to enter. Fashion isn't all about prizes; it's about experimenting and sharing your creativity. With love,

Spring Must Have: The Flared Jean
I haven't done a shopping post in forever- hauls aside! Well with Spring finally here, and Summer milli seconds away I have a need to shop for Spring/Summer clothing. One of the biggest things I am harboring after is a pair of 1970's style flared jeans. However, I am incredibly picky with denim, so I have shown you three different styles that I absolutely love!

So as you can see there is a running theme! If I do buy into this trend I want to get a dark wash jean. For a start I personally feel its more wearable and seasonally transitional. Secondly, as the shape isn't figure hugging and accentuates thicker legs, a darker wash will help bang that back into proportion. The jeans also need to be skinnier the the top half of the leg, but not jegging thin! You need t create a flowing, vertical shape. They should also be relatively high waisted-but this depends on your hip to waist ratio. if you have wide hips, go for a high waisted fit, to emphasize the waist, and for skinny hips go for a hipster fit.
From the above selection, I am seriously eyeing the ASOS pair, and on second/third/forth glances realize I hate the Topshop ones. They break all my rules, and Topshop is ridiculously over priced! Rant over; let me know your flared jean ideas. Love,

A collection to keep you warm. Bailey ended with a selection of the outfits, with clear rain coat covers and wellingtons, in the snow fall. A beautiful, wearable and superb weather-bound collection.

Why do you want to be a Fashion Journalist?
I have never been the popular girl, or the girl all the boys followed, or the girls admired but I want to prove that I will be the successful girl. To be fashionable is what everyone wants, but to have an opinion and to make constructive decisions empowers any fashionable woman, and that is what I want to do. I want to empower women through fashion, to allow them to become all they want to be. I want to write, analyse and evaluate fashion. I want to be totally emerged in it.
I also watched 'Devil Wear's Prada', and enjoyed the idea of having power in fashion exciting, inspiring and frankly exactly what I want to do. To have a voice that is heard.

As the cold winter weather of our glorious England sets in, the fashions and styles of our ever beautiful women change. Coats return in full frontal shapes and colours, towering boots creep over the knee, and the ever oblivious scarf joins the parade. Oh what a fabulous era we live in.
