Spring Must Have: The Flared Jean

I haven't done a shopping post in forever- hauls aside! Well with Spring finally here, and Summer milli seconds away I have a need to shop for Spring/Summer clothing. One of the biggest things I am harboring after is a pair of 1970's style flared jeans. However, I am incredibly picky with denim, so I have shown you three different styles that I absolutely love!
Current/ Elliot at Net-A-Porter, ASOS, Topshop, MiH New York at ASOS
So as you can see there is a running theme! If I do buy into this trend I want to get a dark wash jean. For a start I personally feel its more wearable and seasonally transitional. Secondly, as the shape isn't figure hugging and accentuates thicker legs, a darker wash will help bang that back into proportion. The jeans also need to be skinnier the the top half of the leg, but not jegging thin! You need t create a flowing, vertical shape. They should also be relatively high waisted-but this depends on your hip to waist ratio. if you have wide hips, go for a high waisted fit, to emphasize the waist, and for skinny hips go for a hipster fit.
From the above selection, I am seriously eyeing the ASOS pair, and on second/third/forth glances realize I hate the Topshop ones. They break all my rules, and Topshop is ridiculously over priced! Rant over; let me know your flared jean ideas. Love,

Breton Stripes and Maxi Dress

So the weather in London has been really amazing, positively summery! I'm trying not to talk about it too much or I will jinx it and we will never see the sun again. Anyway, so my aunt came back from Chile on Friday -yay- and her flight was delayed massively so instead of going straight back to Oxford she stayed in my apartment then went home on Saturday. On Saturday we went shopping at Borough market, my favourite place ever right now, then did some more shopping in Angel at Waitrose and Boots (see my beauty haul that I have finally loaded). Due to the summery weather I wore something that made me feel really fashionable and yet appropriate to the sunshine!
Breton Tee by Cos, Maxi Dress by Internacional, Scarf from New Look, Cardigan from Lee Cooper, Ballet Pumps from Topshop. The top images were taken at lunch which was amazing. We went to Olive, which is an Italian cafe behind my building. I had:
Greek Salad £1.99, Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel £2.20
And I just had to share this with you. Whilst we were waiting for Laura's train home, we went to Tie Rack in Paddington. I love this hat, but I don't know if I'm a hat person. Shall I buy it?

OOTD: Greyness in the Sunshine

Jeggings, Topshop. Tee, H&M, Cardigan, Dorothy Perkins. Shoes and Bag, New Look. Earrings from Topshop. Ring, Gift. Bracelet, Gift.
So it was literally the most beautiful day in London yesterday. The sun was shining, it was really warm and everyone had a good feeling that spring was on its way. These jeggings are some of my favourite for spring, as they are the perfect transition piece from black to white jeans. I kept the rest of the look around the grey theme, as black was way to harsh for such a pretty day. I am off to Holborn in Central London today, for a whole day's study in the Learning Zone. I've never been, but it sounds incredible. Love,
