Rebecca Minkoff, Fall 2011: Cool Girl Wearable

Rebecca's theory has always been to dress cool girls, and creates wearable collections that fashionable women want to wear. There was a contrast of textures and volumes in this collection. Leather met wool and fur, denim met suede and wool met satin. The difference in volumes were mainly top heavy; oversized jumpers with skinny leg trousers (in burgundy, following the current 1970's colour palette), and fur shoulder shrugs were teamed with woolen cardigans and flowing maxi skirts. The entire collection followed a relatively muted palette of dark neutrals; blacks, greys, and navy but were often contrasted with a pop of burgundy, cream and whites. The occasional splash of leopard print upped the collection into another realm of grungy glamour, and helped the collection feel young and fresh.
I'm also happy to announce that Minkoff dresses for the season! In her fall collection there is a focus on warmth; big cardigans and jumpers, and there are closed toe shoes for the colder months.

Amazing! Love the colour palette and I'm always up for skinnies and a chunky jumper! <3 Great post, I loved reading it :)
