K-Stew for Elle

I am already a massive fan of Kristen Stewart- not simply because she is the on and off screen partner in crime to Robert Pattinson, but because her style is incredibly induvidual. Usually up and coming young Hollywood actresses follow a similar pattern; do a big movie and then deck of in every designer under the sun. Kristen is totalyl different. Although she is an occasional fan of Chanel (which she wore to the Met Benefit back in April), Kristen is much happier in a basic sweater and skinny jeans. Just proves that all the money in the world can't change who you are inside (hopefully!) Anyways, so when I got my Elle in the post two days ago I was in heaven as who was adorning the cover? None other than K-Stew. This is her first major piece for the UK publishing industry, and I must say Elle did a very good job with her. The photos and outfits were classic, yet young and fresh, and Kristen's deep personality shone through.

McQueen Announces New Director

In the last hour the house of McQueen has announced that Sarah Burton, a longtime colleague of the late designer, to be the new creative director of the brand. In a statement released in London today she said she would remain "true to his legacy" by creating "beautiful" collections which are "modernly crafted".

This comes after a recent shake up of creative designers at major fashion houses. This includes Jean Paul Gaultier leaving luxury label Hermes, and being replaced by Lacoste's Christophe Lemaire. Gaultier will not be completely severing ties from Hermes, and will be over seeing the S/S 2011 collection, which will be previewed in October. Lemaire will take the reins from A/W 2011.

SATC2

Unless your living on anotehr planet, you should know that SACT2 premiers tonight in London town! I cannot wait to see it and have a ticket booked for Monday evening with my girlfriends! Anyway, during the American premiere Bergdorf Goodman arranged some "teaser" SATC2 window displays. I thought I'd share them as they tell a story through clothes so well.
